KAS is committed to providing a Christ-centered, well-rounded education for every student. This includes a wide variety of co-curricular activities that support students' interests, growth, and development.
Music education is an important part of life at KAS. All students are introduced to music through weekly music education classes using recorders, chimes, handbells, ukuleles, and choir. Private lessons in piano are also available.
Art classes are part of the regular curriculum for all students. They explore various techniques and mediums, creating work that is showcased throughout the year.
Students in grades 6th-10th can join an after-school LEGO robotics class where they learn coding and engineering by working as a team to solve creative challenges.
Field trips at KAS are carefully chosen to enhance classroom learning and spark curiosity. Students visit exciting and educational places like Ripley’s Aquarium, Marble Springs Historic Site, Camp Wesley Woods, Safety City, Zoo Knoxville, and Museum of Appalachia. We also provide several school programs to connect with our moms, dad, grandparents, church members, and community members such as Donuts with Dads, Muffins with Moms, Thanksgiving meal, grandparents day, Art Show, Trivia Night, Winter Market and Christmas plays.
Spiritual growth is supported through daily whole school and classroom worship, Bible classes, baptismal classes, weekly chapels and an annual Week of Prayer, featuring guest speakers including pastors, teachers, parents, alumni, and community volunteers.
